A multi-sensory growing mycelium installation. Towards the closing date of Manifestation #16 Descent into Fungal, a transformation of two months’ time would show an entirely different artwork with the real time mycelium’s reaction towards human emotions, vibration, sound and light via immersive and thought-provoking performances by artists coming from different disciplines.

Each performance highlights one of the five senses that shows the spectacular sensitivity of mycelium, evidence of which might be expressed in the organism’s responsiveness to its surroundings – representing the dedicated care required in treating nature, but also each other and the world around us.

Een multisensoriële groeiende myceliuminstallatie. Richting de einddatum van Manifestation #16 Descent into Fungal, zal de transformatie van twee maanden een heel ander kunstwerk laten zien met de real-time reactie van mycelium op menselijke emoties, aanraking, geluid en licht via meeslepende en tot nadenken aanzettende performances door kunstenaars uit verschillende disciplines.

Elke performance belicht één van de vijf zintuigen die de spectaculaire gevoeligheid van mycelium laat zien, waarvan het bewijs zou kunnen worden uitgedrukt in het reactievermogen van het organisme op diens omgeving – wat staat voor de toegewijde zorg die nodig is in de omgang met de natuur, maar ook met elkaar en de wereld om ons heen.
